I am enrolled at a Community College in BC studying carpentry. Two of my classmates bought this hammer and both lost the magnet from it, one during the first week of use. I also own this Stiletto and wanted to avoid the hassle of buying, cleaning out the old hole and installing a new magnet. I called Stiletto and despite saying that they would answer in two days, I haven’t heard anything in over two weeks. I asked what could be done to stop the magnet falling out during use of the hammer. I should add that one of the two classmates who have the Stiletto hammer also has a loose hammer head. The handle is about 1/2″ below the top edge of the head. I expected more from a hammer that costs more than twice as much as most hammers.
