This plunge base has that typical Milwaukee feel to it, and some notable features. I like the balance of the machine with those handles shaped for steering. When loaded with a battery the little router stands taller and I found it easy to control. The depth stop has a easy to read stick indicator and lockable positioned for depth. The best feature is probably the height release lever that locks the router at the depth you want so you can easily retract the bit upwards, or lock it at a position part way down if you choose. 8 found checking measurements easy because of it.
The push button on/off takes some orientation since it isn’t large and obvious like a toggle, but it clicks positively like a Milwaukee normally does. I don’t quite like the lack of a push button release when engaging the router into the base or removing it. The micro adjustment is a bit clumsy because of it and the router fits snugly so is hard to disengage from the base housing. 3 in one oil. No loss of sleep. Overall I am quite pleased with it
