This saw is amazing. It has tons of power and the charge lasts a long time. As an older person I find it lighter than a gas one and very well balanced. These could be well utilized in fire-fighting, negating packing fuel. With a solar charger and extra battery it will do a lot of work in a field situation. Awesome tool!

I’ve been using the chainsaw for 2 years now. I loved the first one so much, i bought a second one! It’s perfect for limbing a tree after felling it. Its also great for arborist work and tree climbing, lighter and doesn’t have the vibration of a gas chainsaw. It’s awesome cutting in anything under 10 to 12 inches in diameter, anything bigger than that, the battery overheats and drastically reduces the charge you’ll get out of your battery, it’s simply not made for that. So it doesn’t replace a 50+cc gas chainsaw but in my opinion and experience, it’s definitely replaced my below 40cc gas chainsaws. I’d buy again on a heartbeat!

That chainsaw is just great. I cut for about 2 hours some branches that I had in my yard and still have 2 lines on the battery. I gave 4 stars because I never give 5 (There is always room for improvement)

I’ve used this for trees, cutting up pallets and demolition work. It’s ok and the chain needs to be tight and the cutting angle right otherwise the chain will constantly come off. I don’t have a gas powered unit, but have rented those. This machine for isolated work is great paired up with other products all sharing the same batteries. What I like about it the most is it’s either on, or off. It doesn’t lay on the ground idling, and if you let go of the trigger, it’s off. There is a lock to prevent accidently trigger presses.

Battery power is not bad but after an hour of cutting about 40 or 50 logs, the battery gave up.
Between that and the chain getting untracked a few times, this product is marginal. I may return it.

I gave this product 5 stars not because I have used it a lot and can contribute a well considered review, but because in my experience, Milwaukee has earned the buzz around its new technology. So when Milwaukee says it performs in extraordinary ways, it usually does. The battery is half the physical size of the one that EGO makes (that mows my lawn with 56 volts) and its only 18 volts, so they must have a genie crammed in there. Can I review again in a couple of months?
