Features:

  • Also known as:
        • Serrated washer
        • Star washer
  • Serrations extending radially inward bite into a bearing surface
  • Especially effective on a soft substrate such as plastic or aluminum
  • Also resists rotation more than a plain washer on hard surfaces
  • Serrations along the inside edge of the washer:
        • Make them more aesthetically pleasing than external tooth lock washers
  • Internal teeth dig into the screw head
  • Smooth outside edge won’t snag objects
  • Provide greater vibration resistance than split lock washers
  •  Use with fasteners that have small heads such as:
        • Fillister screws
        • Cheese head screws
