Patrice Simard –
really like the Tstak system and this organizer. I used to have the toughsystem set but it is too bulky as I often work downtown and have to carry my tools up/down triplexes. The T-stak system is much lighter and still quite tough enough to be used on my regular general maintenance job.
The organizer is really useful as I can attach it to my tool set and carry around using the cart. Other dewalt organizer cannot be attach to the Tstak set.
Steve –
The TSTAK V Organizer with Clear Lid, is a heavy and solid parts organizer. It contains several deep plastic bins, which are made of thick plastic for holding heavy parts. The lids for each bin has a good quality fastener, and won’t open if held upside down. The organizer has pockets where the bins fit in so they stay in place.
The plastic clear lid is solid as well. The cover snaps are heavy duty and require a bit of force to open and close. This is a good thing, so to keep all the parts from falling out.
The TSTAK feature allows the organizers to solidly stack on top of each other. This is most beneficial when transporting them to and from job locations.
The thing that bugs me is that when they are stacked together, you can’t see what’s inside each box. If you had 4 or 5 of these, it becomes a pain to have to unstack each one when looking for that particular part. It would be nice if there was room on the front face to affix a large label to identify the contents. I guess you could put the label on the backside of the box, as there is plenty of room for it there.
I give the TSTAK IV , 4 ++ stars. It earns every one for its ruggedness, large deep bins, tough materials, solid closing mechanism, solid stacking feature.
Why not 5 stars. It has nothing to do with the product. I’ll leave that to others
