The battery did not last very long. Very disappointed.
I used a 20V battery as recommended by Home Depot where I bought the Blower.
I believe the batter was fully charged when I started, but I may be wrong. I have recharged it and will try again soon.
Maybe I need a special battery for this Blower – do I?

This is the first leaf blower I have ever bought or used so can’t compare it to anything else but I can tell you that I am very impressed with the “blow” power of this unit. I have used it for blowing pine needles and spruce needles off my paved driveway along with pieces of crushed stone and they all flew away very quickly and easily. Leaves don’t even stand a chance, this thing blows them many feet away. I really like that I can use this inside my garage to blow out dirt, dog hair, leaves, etc that accumulate inside the garage when the doors are open. The variable speed is great inside the garage. I always used my big air compressor (60 gallon) with a blow gun to do all of the above, but this is actually faster and easier and quieter. 5 amp battery seems to last pretty good, I only need a few minutes at a time when I use it and I can use it a few times on a charge. I am very happy with this blower and highly recommend it. Another great Dewalt product!!!

A little less blowing power than I hoped for, but still very good. I like the variable speed trigger for quick speed changes, and there’s another switch on top that will hold it constantly at whatever speed you choose. I’ve used a lower speed to blow sawdust off my tools and equipment in the shop. I haven’t timed it, but the 5.0 AH battery lasts quite a while, and I really like that the battery and charger are compatible with my other Dewalt 20V tools and batteries.
