This is a great area light with two brightness settings. I don’t find it good if you are working on any kind of equipment and want to see where you are wrenching, it is not a spotlight like the DCL040 or the DCL043. It is great as an area light. Personally I have all three and they go hand in hand together in my shop. This is also a good light for when the power goes out or camping as the light beam is more spread out unlike the other two that are spotlights (narrower concentrated beam). I recommend having all of them in your arsenal of work lights.
