- Resemble tubular rivets when set but are hollow blind rivets pre-assembled onto a mandrel
- The mandrel head stays within the body of the rivet
- Provide strong but low-cost fastenings
- Suitable in industrial applications where the materials being fastened do not have high load-bearing requirements
- All-aluminum pop rivets well suited for applications where materials are exposed to the elements
