I had great hopes for the DeWalt cordless roofing nail gun. Having done quite a few roofs I was excited about the possibilities that this product presented. At first it was fairly good, consistent placement and decent cycling of the nails. The gun is a little heavy but well worth the weight considering the lack of air line and compressor. After a couple hundred nails I experienced my first nail jam. Not a big deal and easily fixed. Then as I used the gun more, the jams increased. These jams were not nails getting lodged but the actual pin getting stuck out of the gun. It was not retracting the pin. Eventually, the pin went back and off its track and wouldn’t fire at all. After a half an hour tearing the gun apart, I found the immediate problem, reset the pin and continued using the gun. After a couple dozen nails, I would reset the jammed pin. Repeat, repeat repeat… I tried blowing out the gun, cleaning the track, even using a modified tooth brush to try and clean it. Less than 7000 nails through the gun. I hope I received a bad example of this product because I really want it to be awesome. However, my gun is absolutely, frustratingly, faulty and not worth my time or yours. I will be returning this product asap
