Hex Bolt Grade 8 Yellow Zinc 9/16″ – 18 NF

Hex Bolt Grade 8 Yellow Zinc 9/16″ – 18 NF has a higher tensile strength then a grade 5 bolt:

• 9/16″ – 18 TPI (Threads Per Inch) Fine thread bolts
• Grade 8 bolts are made of medium carbon alloy steel that has first been quenched to harden them, then tempered to restore some ductility.
• Grade 8 bolts are generally harder, but more brittle than grade 5 bolts.
• Electro-plating gives grade 8 bolts their yellow sheen (yellow zinc) and provides some corrosion resistance; however, they will eventually rust if the coating is damaged or scratched off or if the bolts are exposed to high saline environments.
