Flange Nut Serrated Zinc NC:
- Coarse thread nuts
- Sizes from 1/4″ to 5/8″
- Enlarged circular base of flange nuts flares out from the bottom of the nut
- Serrations on the bearing surface of the flange displace material on the mating surface to form a connection that resists loosening
- More torque is required to loosen than to tighten the nut
- The flange spans oversized or poorly aligned holes
- The flange also provides a more uniform bearing-stress to clamp-force ratio than other low carbon lock nuts
